Ecuador: 14 days High Adventure Tour

4 days of jungle camping, 4 days of whitewater packrafting, 4 days of playing tourista! We have put together a high adventure of out-of-the ordinary activities for the active “I do not want to sit on a bus” explorer.

We start with a 4 day float into the Amazon Jungle using our packrafts and traditional native boats. We will sleep in prepared camps and learn some of the secrets of surviving in the jungle, observe exotic birds, reptiles and fish.

Next it’s off to the Andes for some whitewater fun. We have packrafts, so let’s use them! We’ve selected some great class III water to test your skills. Swim? You bet, you are going to swim, but most of these rivers have catch pools, and the water is warm. Some of our rivers are down in Tena and some will be up near Baeza.

Off to play Tourista! Finally we head to Banos high in the Andes for some great fun. Zip lines, Bridge jumps, biking, go carts, volcano climbs, hot springs… the fun just never ends.

Festivals!! December is a month of many festivals in Ecuador. We plan our itinerary to allow participation in some of the local activities. We have hired local guides that not only know the country, they also know the culture. Last year we attended a bull fight, and a party of over 2,000 farmers in the middle of farm field!

Your price includes EVERYTHING: Guides, hostels, food, transports, (need to bring own paddle gear, we can rent you a packraft), extra items like zip lines, bike rentals, hot springs admissions…

Dates:
session I: 12/4-17 2011 $1950 (does not include airfare)
session II: 12/18-31 2011 $1950 (does not include airfare)
